Only a couple of years ago we couldn’t swim 25m without taking a break; we couldn’t run if our life depended upon it;  we hadn’t owned bikes since our childhoods; despite these shortcoming today we are Ironmen.

What does it take to be an Ironman, not much really, just get your butt to the start line at some ungodly hour in the pre-dawn, swim 2.4 miles with a couple of thousand friends then cycle 112 miles on a hilly course in conditions that aren’t often favorable and then the easy bit, get out there and run a 26.2 mile marathon.  Oh yeah and you have to make sure you eat & drink enough to fuel your journey and you must do it in 17 hours or it was for nothing.  That’s what it takes to be an Ironman.

If we can do it, so can you.  Follow our adventures or even better, join us, just twitter us and we’ll be happy to tell you how to get started.
